Robert A. Proctor III

Bob brings over 20 years of executive search experience to Oak Hill Consultants. He has successfully completed assignments for chief executive officers, chief operating officers and vice presidents in most line and staff functional areas. Among his major current and past clients are Armstrong World Industries, Bayer AG/Bayer NA, Constellation Energy Group, Dick Corporation, ITT Industries, Inc., PPG Industries, Kennametal, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
 

Prior to establishing Oak Hill Consultants, Bob spent 11 years with Heidrick & Struggles, where he was a Senior Partner, Director and founding member of the Firm's Industrial/Manufacturing Practice and of the CFO Specialty Practice. While his personal focus is primarily in the manufacturing sector, he also works with distribution/logistics organizations, as well as high technology and professional services clients. The organizational breadth of his work has run from recruiting the CEO for a Fortune 50 company to CFO of a small privately held business.
 

Before joining Heidrick in 1990, Bob spent five years with Handy Associates as Vice President. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Director for Billington, Fox and Ellis, also in New York. Earlier in his career, Bob was Senior Manager in charge of Executive Search for Peat Marwick in Houston and Director of Recruitment and Professional Development for Meidinger, Inc. He began his career as an Associate Manager of the Travelers Insurance Companies.
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Bob holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Louisville. He currently resides with his wife and two children in Bedford, New York, where he also serves on the Boards of the Lounsbery Society of Northern Westchester Hospital and the American Lyme Disease Foundation.
