José E. Oller

José E. Oller has over 25 years of entrepreneurial and management experience in marketing, strategic planning, customer service, advertising, sales and operations with large, multinational, as well as start-up and emerging organizations. Before starting his own practice as J E Oller Associates, José was Senior Partner and Global Transportation Practice Leader with TMP Worldwide, Executive Search. Prior to that José was a Partner with Heidrick & Struggles and helped develop their Transportation Practice. After attending John Carroll University, he began his extensive career as the General Manager for Caribe Shipping in Puerto Rico. Returning to the United States, he held progressively more responsible positions at Eastern Airlines for ten years. In 1978, he joined the team founding Midway Airlines, the first airline to be created after the 1978 industry deregulation, and was responsible for all customer service operations telecommunications, reservations, properties and facilities and sales. He then joined Kimberly-Clark Corporation to start up Midwest Express Airlines in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As Vice President of Marketing and Planning for nine years, he was responsible for strategic and fleet planning, scheduling, pricing, revenue management, advertising, sales, direct marketing, reservations, distribution, in-flight, corporate communications and customer service. Until the events of September 11, 2001, Midwest Express and the model that José help create, had been one of the most consistently profitable airlines in the country. José has placed senior-level executives in the transportation, aerospace, advertising and hospitality industries, domestically and abroad. José is a member of the board of Proclaiming The Gospel, a not-for-profit Christian ministry.
