Augusto L. Dias Carneiro (Gus) runs his own company in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Zaitech Consultoria Ltda. (www.zaitech.com.br) dedicated to:

Zaitech was founded by Mr. Carneiro in 1987 but was inactive for the period 97-03 while he joined Korn/Ferry to open and run their Rio de Janeiro office as well as their South America Energy/Oil/Gas practice.

Mr. Carneiro is a dual citizen of both Brazil and the US, is bi-cultural in English and Portuguese, has a working knowledge of Spanish, French and Italian. Mr. Carneiro holds a B.Sc. in Management Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles. Before 1987, Mr. Carneiro worked for Billiton (then a Shell subsidiary), Xerox, Citibank, and a local boutique investment-banking firm with strong operating ties with Salomon Brothers.
