Kevin M. Butler

Kevin Butler is a co-founder and the President and Managing Partner of Heritage Partners International (HPI), a retainer-based, human capital strategy consultancy with offices in Philadelphia, New Haven and Morristown. Mr. Butler is based in New Haven and concentrates primarily on senior-level life sciences searches and other related human capital issues. During the past 13 years, he has served a broad range of pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device clients around the globe. He has successfully recruited hundreds of non-executive Directors, Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officers and Vice Presidents in most line and staff functions for clients ranging from major multinationals to venture-backed start-ups.

Prior to starting HPI, he was the Global Managing Partner for Heidrick & Struggles' Health Care Practice. Earlier he led the Global Medical Device and Diagnostics Practice at Spencer Stuart. Mr. Butler began his search career with Russell Reynolds where he started and led their Healthcare Information Technology Practice. Before entering search, he had executive roles with Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson, and was a strategic management consultant with Marakon Associates and Dynamics Research Corporation.
Mr. Butler spent 8 years on active duty in the US Army as an Armor, Cavalry and Infantry officer serving around the world. A native of Massachusetts, Kevin is a graduate of The US Military Academy at West Point where he received a B.S. in Engineering. He received an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
